I am very, very slowly working on learning Japanese. I try to get as much exposure to it as I can. I practice whenever I can…. here are some of the resources I utilize! Pleeeeease let me know if you would like to practice with me, or if you know of additional resources you have used that you’ve found helpful!
All Japanese All The Time — This guy cracks me up!
Not only is he hilarious, but he learned Japanese and is now learning Chinese, and his system really makes sense to me. And, did I mention he’s hilarious? Check out this post about Japanese Babies That Suck Even Harder Than I Do.
(Sounds horrible, I know, BUT! There is a very very good point to it all. And the cutest little Japanese children ever.
)
iKnow —I really like this site! They recently became a paid service, but totally worth it IMO.
Live Mocha — I like this site a lot too! I like iKnow better, but this one is quite good, just takes a different approach. It’s more people interactive, which is helpful, certainly; probably better, honestly, since that’s the point of learning a language, right? Communication with others, yes?
I think I must just like the interface of iKnow more….
Twitter —I’ve made friends with a couple different native Japanese people. They are really nice, and awesomely helpful in figuring out what I’m trying to say, and explaining culture stuff.
